Life Transitions
“Let go of who we know ourselves to be in order to allow the possibility of who we might become.”
-Katherine Woodward Thomas
What you’re going through…
Something has occurred or changed in your life that is causing you to feel like the rug is pulled out from under you. You are scrambling to try to catch up to the new way things are, but you don’t feel like you have even had time to process what you’ve lost or left behind. There may be positive things lying ahead, yet they feel daunting and unreachable. Major life transitions can cause many people to feel like they don’t have ground to stand on. Their sense of stability and/or sense of self are lost. Change is part of life, yet many people experience this without any guidance or idea how to navigate forward. You may even judge yourself for not having it together yet or feel like you should have things figured out. Transitions happen in every lifetime and their intensity varies, but they remain a challenge to navigate each time. I like to look at change through the lens of this Eckhart Tolle quote, “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.” Whatever you’re going through, although challenging, is giving you an opportunity to grow and become a better version of yourself. I would like to help guide you to that place and be a safe and supportive space to process the challenges of this time.
Through empowering you to take value-based action, we will work together to help you come out of this transition stronger and more sure of yourself.
I am determined to support you through this journey and be a steady reminder of your capabilities as you face brand new situations. You are built to grow and transform. Our minds often fear change because they seek familiarity to feel safe, using tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy we will face these fears together. Through exploration of your emotions and understanding yourself more, your strengths will become exposed during this journey.
